4-Ingredient Grilled Chicken Kabobs

Don’t overthink dinner—these grilled chicken kabobs need just 4 simple ingredients and come together fast. Perfect for warm summer nights.
Chicken Kabobs To The Rescue
The last thing I want is to be stuck inside prepping a complicated dinner when the weather is warm outside. That’s why these 4-ingredient chicken kabobs are my new go-to summer staple. They’re ridiculously easy, super flavorful, and (bonus!) healthy too. You don’t need a fancy marinade or hours of prep—just a few pantry staples and a grill (or even a grill pan), and you’re good to go.
Why These Grilled Chicken Kabobs Are The Best
Minimal ingredients, maximum flavor. The Italian dressing does all the heavy lifting—it’s tangy, herby, and perfectly seasoned.
Kid-approved. No scary colors or unwanted veggies stuffed between the chicken. Just juicy, tender white meat chicken.
Customizable. For those of you that appreciate veggies, feel free to add zucchini, mushrooms, or cherry tomatoes if you want to mix it up.
Meal prep-friendly. These skewers make awesome leftovers for a yummy wrap or toss them right in with a salad for lunch the next day.
What You’ll Need (only 4-ingredients)
Chicken- Use chicken breast or thighs, whichever you choose.
Dressing– We use bottled Italian dressing from the grocery store.
Greek yogurt- Full-fat Greek yogurt will help tenderize the chicken while it marinates.
Salt and pepper

How To Make Chicken Kabobs
This is seriously the easiest to throw together—prepare chicken, marinate, assemble on skewers, and grill for a few minutes until golden perfection.
- Prep the chicken– Cut chicken into 1-inch pieces and place them in a large resealable bag.
- Add marinade– Pour in Italian dressing, Greek yogurt, salt and pepper right over the chicken. Seal the bag, give it a good smoosh and marinate in the refrigerator for 30-minutes..
- Skewer and grill– Skewer 5-6 pieces of marinated chicken on skewers and repeat with the rest of the chicken. Grill until golden brown on all sides and cooked through.

Tips To Keep In Mind
- Soak wooden skewers– If using wooden skewers you’re going to want to soak them in cold water for at least 15-minutes so they don’t burn up during the grilling process. You can do this while the chicken is marinating so no time is waisted!
- Chicken will cook super fast– Because the chicken is cut in smaller pieces it won’t take long to grill. Keep an eye on it and don’t walk away too long. Nobody enjoys dry chicken.
If You Want To Be Extra
Cut lemon wedges in half or in quarters and grill them the same time you’re grilling the chicken. The lemons will gather some smoky flavor and you can squeeze all that goodness over your chicken when it’s cooked. Yum!

4-Ingredient Grilled Chicken Kabobs
Equipment
- 6-8 wooden skewers
- resealable bag or medium bowl
- outdoor grill or indoor grill pan
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds chicken breast, cut in 1 inch size pieces
- 1 cup prepared Italian dressing we use the Newman's Own Light
- 1/4 cup full-fat, plain Greek yogurt
- 1/4-1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- In a large resealable bag add chicken pieces along with 1 cup Italian dressing, 1/4 cup Greek yogurt, 1/4-1/2 tsp salt, and 1/2 tsp black pepper. Seal the bag and give it a good mix until all the chicken is well coated. Place in the refrigerator for at least 30-minutes or up to 2 hours.
- Skewer 5-6 pieces of marinated chicken on wooden skewers, leaving just a little room in-between. (see photos in post) Repeat with the rest of the chicken and skewers until you have about 6-8 skewers.
- Heat outdoor grill to medium heat (right around 400°) or indoor grill pan to medium high. Place skewers on the grill and cook about 5-6 minutes per side or until an internal temperature reaches 165°. Mine took about 12 minutes total. Tent chicken skewers with foil on a plate and allow to rest for 5-minutes and enjoy.
