The Ultimate Copycat Big Mac made into Sliders

These Big Mac Sliders are inspired by the classic McDonald’s burger we all know and love but this version is even better. All the usual suspects here–seasoned ground beef, melty cheddar cheese, pickles, shredded lettuce, and of course, no Big Mac-inspired recipe would be complete without that iconic Mac sauce. Our homemade version is creamy, tangy, and absolutely irresistible. It ties everything together and makes these sliders a guaranteed hit with your crowd.

Best of all, this recipe is super easy to make and perfect for game day, parties, or a fun change for family dinner. You get all the nostalgic flavor of a Big Mac, without the drive-thru and way more to go around.

Ingredients You Need

Ingredients displayed for big mac sliders. Ground beef, dinner rolls, onion, Worcestershire, seasonings, mayo, ketchup, pickle juice, pickle chips, chopped dill pickles, mustard, sweet relish, butter, cheddar cheese, sesame seeds, and lettuce.
  • Ground beef and seasonings– We use lean ground beef along with simple pantry seasoning like garlic powder, dried mustard, all-purpose seasoning, salt and pepper.
  • Worcestershire sauce– This adds great flavor to the beef.
  • Onions used in the ground beef mixture and Mac sauce.
  • Cheddar cheese
  • Pickle chips for that classic texture and flavor.
  • Classic dinner rolls or use Hawaiian rolls.
  • Lettuce- Make sure it’s crunchy iceberg or Romaine.
  • Big Mac sauce– Mayo, ketchup, mustard, sweet relish, dill pickles, onions, and pickle juice.
  • Melted butter and sesame seeds for the buns.

Simple Step by Step

Please see the recipe card below for more details about ingredients and instructions.

  1. Brown ground beef with onions in a large skillet until no longer pink, then stir in seasonings and Worcestershire sauce. Remove from the heat.
  2. Make burger sauce while beef is cooking. Combine all the sauce ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
  3. Slice buns in half horizontally without separating them and place the bottom half face up on a sheet pan.
  4. Layer the bottom bun with sauce, meat mixture, cheddar cheese, pickle chips, and more sauce.
  5. Place the top bun over everything, then brush with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  6. Cover and bake in the oven at 350℉ for 10-12 minutes.
  7. Add lettuce by removing the top bun and layer with shredded lettuce. Secure the top bun and carefully slice into individual sliders.

Tips For Success

  • Add the the lettuce after it’s baked: For crisp lettuce and a cool touch, add the lettuce after you bake the buns.
  • Use a serrated knife to cut sliders cleanly after baking.
  • Melting cheese: Add cheese while the beef is still hot so it melts evenly before baking.
  • Double the Sauce: Trust us, people will want extra and it makes a great dipping sauce with French fries.
  • Enjoy right away: These sliders are best fresh out of the oven.
