Cozy Mornings Start with Cinnamon Roll Casserole

Oh, the magic of the smell of cinnamon wafting through the kitchen on a lazy weekend morning. This Cinnamon Roll French Toast Casserole brings all the cozy and comforting flavors of the season. Gooey cinnamon rolls and rich frosting in one easy breakfast bake.

We have a standing date with my Cinnamon Rolls From Heaven every Christmas morning, and I wouldn’t dare break tradition—mostly because I know my daughter would be seriously bummed if I did. But if I had one year to serve something a little different (and much easier) it would be this cinnamon roll casserole. Seriously, AMAZING!

It’s everything we adore about those beloved cinnamon rolls, but with the convenience of store bought canned rolls, and a few minutes of preparation. These are soft and gooey with plenty of icing in each bite. Check out all the details below!

Helpful Tips For The Best Cinnamon Roll Casserole

  • Keep cinnamon rolls chilled in the refrigerator until ready to use. This will make it much easier to cut into pieces and hold together.
  • Tent with foil to prevent over-browning if the casserole needs more time but the top is golden brown.

Common Questions:

Is this casserole eggy?

No. This is not an overly eggy casserole. There are only 4 eggs which distribute and bake nicely with the cinnamon rolls. However, some does settle on the bottom of the pan.

Can I assemble this ahead of time?

Yes! Assemble the casserole up to one day in advance. This will allow the egg mixture to absorb into the cinnamon rolls so there isn’t any settling at the bottom of the pan.

What is the best way to check for doneness?

If you touch the center of the casserole, it should feel set and spring back instantly. You can also insert a knife in the center to make sure it’s clean and there isn’t any raw dough present.
