Grilled Peach Salsa
Celebrate peach season with this easy Grilled Peach Salsa! Smoky, sweet, fresh, and bursting with summer flavor. Serve it with chips, grilled chicken, fish, tacos, and more.
There is nothing quite like fresh salsa during the warmer months of the year. Our favorite go-to is This Salsa (aka, The Best Salsa Ever), and we love making Classic Pico de Gallo with garden-fresh tomatoes. This Grilled Peach Salsa has quickly become another summertime favorite around here-you just can't beat the sweet, smoky flavors.

When peach season rolls around, I can't get enough of them. They're perfectly juicy, naturally sweet, and at their absolute best during the peak of summer. While I love peaches plucked straight from the tree, one of my favorite ways to enjoy them is fresh off the grill.
Peach salsa is such a fun way to enjoy this beautiful fruit. It's easy to make for a casual weeknight and pretty enough to serve when you're entertaining. Grab a bag of tortilla chips or spoon it over grilled chicken, pork, fish, shrimp, tacos, and so much more.

Ingredients You Need
- Peaches- You'll want to use fresh peaches for easy grilling and fresh flavor.
- Red onion and bell peppers offer a fresh crunch and savory flavor.
- Cilantro is a classic salsa ingredient. If you don't care for cilantro use fresh parsley.
- Jalapeños for a touch of heat.
- Lime juice helps balance the sweetness.
- Chili powder adds a subtle smoky flavor and pairs well with peach flavors.
- Salt and pepper to taste

How To Make Grilled Peach Salsa
- Heat outdoor grill or grill pan to medium high heat and brush with olive oil.
- Slice peaches in half and remove the seeds. If your peaches are too hard, the seeds won't come out as easily.

- Place peach halves flesh side down on the hot grill and grill for a few minutes on the inside only until lightly charred.

- Allow peaches to cool slightly then cut into small pieces. Add the peaches and the remaining salsa ingredients in a bowl and toss to combine.

Choosing The Right Peaches
Choose firm, ripe peaches. The best peaches for this salsa are ripe, in-season peaches that are still nice and firm. They'll have the sweetest flavor, but their firmer texture holds up much better on the grill. Overripe peaches tend to get soft and mushy, making them harder to grill and dice for the salsa.
Ang's Helpful Tips
- Don't over-grill the peaches- Three to four minutes on the one side is usually enough to develop nice grill marks while keeping the peaches from falling apart.
- Oil the grill grates- Lightly oiling the grates helps prevent the peaches from sticking.
- Taste salsa before serving- Sometimes peaches vary in sweetness. Add another squeeze of lime, a pinch of salt, or a little extra cilantro to balance the flavors.
Variations To Try
Peach Salsa is easy to customize. For an extra creamy taste, stir in diced avocado just before serving. If you'd like to make it a little heartier, black beans are a great addition, or fresh corn-especially grilled corn-adds another layer of smoky summer flavor. You can also mix in diced tomatoes or finish it off with a sprinkle of crumbled cotija cheese for a salty bite.
Can I Use Canned Peaches To Make Peach Salsa?
The short answer is yes, however, canned peaches are softer and sweeter so the results won't be the same with fresh peaches.
