What is a Mojito?

A mojito is a Cuban cocktail known for its refreshing mix of mint, lime, sugar, rum, and soda water. Here we take this classic and turn it into a mocktail so everyone at the party can enjoy a fun and festive drink. It's light, citrusy, slightly sweet, and has a lip smackin' bubbly finish.

Ingredients You Need (only 5 and water is free!)

Lemon lime soda- This could be any brand you enjoy. We went with classic Sprite.

Crystal light lemonade mix- This offers some tartness and a touch of sweetness.

How To Make Mojito Mocktail

This recipe is great because it makes a batch, enough to serve 4-5 people.

  • Muddle the mint leaves and lime wedges in a sturdy pitcher. This releases the oils and juice.
  • Mix lemonade crystal light packet into 2 cups of cold water and stir to dissolve. Add mix to the pitcher with limes and mint.
  • Add Sprite and stir to combine.
  • Fill glasses with ice then top off with mojito mix. Garnish with fresh mint and a lime wedge.

Boozy Mojito

If you're feeling feisty, or maybe want to set out options for your guest, white rum of coarse is classic for a mojito cocktail, however my favorite is a splash of vodka---clean taste with a little zip.

Tips For Mojito Mocktail Recipe

Make ahead but make sure to add the lemon lime soda right before serving so the drinks are nice and fizzy.

Use plenty of mint and limes for a true mojito taste. It will seem like you're using more than you should but trust me, it will be perfect.
