How To Make Quick and Easy Taco Dip:
See full instructions in recipe card below
Step One. Use a hand mixer to combine cream cheese, sour cream, taco seasoning, and salsa until smooth. You will still see some chunks of tomatoes from the salsa.

Step Two. Spread mixture in an even layer in the bottom of a small 8Ă—8 dish or round pie dish. Top with lettuce, tomatoes, jalapenos, black olives and cheese. Serve right away with your favorite tortilla chips, or place in the refrigerator until ready to use.

Tips:
- đź’ˇCream cheese- Make sure cream cheese is super soft before you combine it with the sour cream. I like to turn the oven on to warm and place the cream cheese at the back of the stovetop to slowly soften. You can also remove the foil wrapper and place the cream cheese block in the microwave for a few seconds.
- đź’ˇFor a firmer, cold dip- Place assembled dip in the refrigerator for at least 1-hour prior to serving. This will chill the ingredients and firm up the cream cheese mixture.
Common Questions:
I have not tested this. The fresh toppings might wilt and get soggy if the bottom layer is hot. Try my hot bean dip for a warm and delicious dip recipe.
Yes, however, I would only make the cream cheese layer and add the toppings just before serving.
This dip is super tasty with fresh veggies like celery, carrots, or mini bell peppers. You could also set out pretzels or pita chips.
