Sticky Honey Glazed Chicken
I think the recipe title itself is enough to lure you in. Who doesn’t love sticky honey glazed anything! The sauce is so easy and it all gets tossed in one bowl. The chicken needs nothing more than a touch of salt and pepper and a good sear on both sides. I make this recipe with both chicken thighs and breast meat, but thighs always take the lead in my opinion–my daughter prefers chicken breast so I threw in a few chicky tenders. I hope you enjoy this quick 30-ish minute dinner!
Let’s eat!🤍

Servings: 0 4-5 people
Ingredients
For the Sauce
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
- 3 tbsp Hoisin Sauce
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated or minced fine
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
- 1/4-1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes optional
- 3 green onions, sliced thin
For the chicken
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 6 boneless skinless chicken thighs can use chicken breast
- salt and pepper
Extras
- sesame seeds
- sliced green onion over cooked chicken
Instructions
Sauce
- Add all the sauce ingredients to a small bowl. Whisk until incorporated and set aside.
Chicken
- Season chicken with just a touch of salt and pepper (the sauce is plenty salty so you don't need much). Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium high heat and add chicken. Sear on the first side for 5 minutes, or until it's easy to flip and the chicken is a deep golden brown. Sear on the opposite side for 5-8 minutes until deep golden brown (you may need to adjust your heat depending on your pan). Remove the chicken from the pan when both sides are seared and put them on a plate. You'll finish cooking the chicken later. Turn the heat down to medium and add sauce ingredients. Be careful when adding to the hot pan as it can splatter. Cook sauce stirring often for 5 minutes; it will start to thicken a bit. Add chicken back to the pan with the sauce and don't forget to add the juice from the plate cause it's yummy. Flip chicken to coat both sides. Turn the heat down to medium low and continue to cook until sauce becomes thick and the chicken is cooked through, about 10 minutes. Serve over your favorite side with a sprinkle of sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
