Ingredients

Oreo Crust:

  • 34 Oreos you'll want to purchase 1 family size package of Oreos
  • 6 tbsp melted butter

Cream cheese layer:

  • 1 1/2 blocks softened cream cheese, 12 ounces total
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup cool whip

Chocolate pudding layer:

  • 2 (3.9) oz box, instant chocolate pudding
  • 3 cups milk I use 1%

Toppings:

  • cool whip
  • crushed Oreos

Instructions

  • Add 34 Oreos to a food processor and pulse until you get a coarse texture. Add melted butter and pulse again until the mixture looks like sand. Spread evenly in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish lightly greased with cooking spray. You'll want to press down with your fingers or use the back of a spoon. Place in the refrigerator while you get the rest of the ingredients together. Note: If you don't have a food processor use a large Ziploc bag and a kitchen mallet.
  • In a medium size bowl use a hand mixer to combine cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Gently fold in 1 cup of cool whip and set aside.
  • In a large bowl, use your hand mixer to combine chocolate pudding mix with milk. The pudding will start to thicken after about 4 minutes. Allow to set and further thicken for at least 10-minutes before adding to the layers.

Layering lasagna:

  • Spread cream cheese mixture evenly on top of the Oreo crust being careful not to lift the crust. Use a light hand when spreading the mixture. Next add the pudding, also spreading in an even layer, then cool whip, and finally add some hand crushed Oreos over the top. Place in the refrigerator for at least 1-hour before slicing.

Notes

Tips:
  • Make sure the cream cheese is super soft. Even at room temperature I still need to pop my cream cheese in the microwave for 15-30 seconds. You don’t want to melt it but the softer the better for spreading.
  • Make individual desserts cups. This is a fun dessert to make a few individual cups so each person has their own personal treat. I like using cups like these for easy clean up. Just follow the recipe instructions layering a little of each ingredient in a cup.
  • Make up to two days in advance. Since this recipe doesn’t require any cooking you can make this ahead up to two days. Top with more crushed Oreos just before serving.
  • Gluten-free option. Use GF Oreos in place of regular Oreos. The rest of the ingredients are naturally gf.
