Peanut Butter Protein Treats

If you need a quick healthy snack to curb those afternoon hunger pangs, here you go! With only 6 ingredients (5 if you leave out the protein powder) you can whip these up in no time. Quick oats, peanut butter, chocolate chips, and sticky honey is the foundation of these protein balls. They are so rich and addictive, even my picky-healthy-eater-husband loves them. These can also be gluten and peanut free.

Peanut Butter Protein Treats

Oats, peanut butter, honey, and chocolate chips are the perfect base for these protein balls. They pack about 5 grams of protein per treat and keep you satisfied for hours.
Course Snack

Ingredients
  

  • 21/4 cups quick oats can substitute for gluten free oats
  • 1 cup Adam's creamy or crunchy peanut butter Use almond butter for peanut free option
  • 3 tbsp vanilla protein powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips mini ones work great

Instructions
 

  • Add all the ingredients to a medium size bowl and stir to combine. It will be thick and sticky. Use a small cookie scoop to form into balls. Eat them right away or store them in the fridge for weeks.

Notes

Additional add-in’s- Replace the 1/4 cup of quick oats with-
1/4 cup flaxseed
1/4 cup favorite nuts
1/4 wheat germ
1/4 cup dried fruit
